GP2 Wheel Fitment

Way - just clarifying you comment.
You mention not cheap as in the price of the calipers and rotors? or is there some retro fitting work needed?
I'm just hope that this would be a simple swap of my JCW brakes and the only money spent it on the GP brake kit (which includes the 330mm rotors and brake lines) and some installation cost. I have that NM rims too so i am glad fitment wise its ok.
Btw, i have only seen this for sale on minigenuineparts so far, do you sell the GP2 brakes?
Also I apologize if I am taking this tread off the initial intent.

I can say this car stops great, better than ANY other factory MINI, don't know how it will be on the track.
Yes we can sell you the kit, but we've already put an order in for a kit and several of the parts are not avail in the US yet.
We do already have some EBC redstuff pads already though. They are much more affordable than the OE pads, and much less dust.

Tires?
Airborne Ranger - nice job on picking your new rims. They fit the car nicely.
Have you considered tire options? I live in Maryland and will be swapping out the Kumho's before next winter for an all around performance tire that is better rated for wet/dry handling (without the cold weather restrictions).
Thanks (love our GP put 400 miles on it in 2 weeks)!

Honestly, I think the 6 pot GP brakes are more show than there is go. Sure the 330mm mass is going to dissipate heat better than stock, but they don't even have vanes or not even drilled (though I would not recommend drilled for the track). Besides, replacement rotors from the dealer is not cheap, and you can find way better options than OEM GP such as Stoptech, AP, or even Brembo with tons of more pad options than, again, OEM GP pads. You'll save more money going with another aftermarket bbk than going with these GP brakes.

I can't find the weight of the OEM GP 2 wheels anywhere-does anyone have the specs or has anyone had a chance to weigh one? Has anyone found a source for a replacement outside of the dealer yet? I'm curious how much they are.
Airborne Ranger, The TE 37s look great. I hadn't thought of that combination. The OEM wheels are functional, but look a little goofy to my eye-those are a great aesthetic fit (very subjective i know) in addition to being great wheels for the track. Aren't they about 15 lbs in that size? Also what exact color do you have... They didn't have it broken out by size on their site. Any recommendations on a source for Volk wheels in the US? Off topic but like the blackout too.

I supposed it make sense. Given there's lots of elevation changes and dips in corners, it would probably be a fail if the best lap time requires scrapping the front lip. And given Nurburgring basically contains all kinds of corners you can find, I suppose the stock height is also the most balanced set up you can have, hence there's not much reason to change it I guess.
