It's been said a million times. I'm sure the rebadging is totally okay....lots of MINI tuners do it. And I'm sure the company knows about it.....so all is fine on that front.

The problem comes from statements such as
" Our rim designed by Palo Uber and engineered in Europe by our specialist."

as well as suggesting that you could rely on the quality and strength of the wheel becuase it was engineered by some random name
Designed by Uber, so you know the look is great, and engineered by Dieter in Munich, so you can rest assured, this rim can take whatever you can dish out, survive the perriles of the street tarmac and live to race another day, while looking great...

And of course this is up for debate....but if they are axis wheels and sportmax rims, this is a lie as well : "
Equal to if not surpassing BBS quality." I have seen axis and sportmax wheels up close and know they dont hold a candle to the quality and precision of BBS.

With all that said....still waiting on a confirmation/response from PU regarding a few of their other statements. Simply asking for yes/no answers to a few questions about the truth to some of their statements. They have been posting in the vendor announcements...but besides trying to sell me some paintings, have refused to answer my questions.

No markings anywhere I could find. No made here or there. Just some numbers about the rim size. 17x7 JJ ET+40 JWL VIA 690K8.

That's all I could find.

UBeenMiniD: Out of curiosity, what identifying marks do the wheels have, e.g. country of manufacture, model number, etc.?

Country of manufacture or origin is so universally marked on everything that I thought it must be required by law. Or am I wrong about this?

Wow! I am glad I read these post before monday I was about to call up and make a mistake. I comunicated with Bryce about buying the same wheels , which I think they look great and your car BTW. And he did not have them in "Winter Black" but he offer quote:

Thanks for the reponse and sorry for the delay. I had to check with Joseph in our paint to get our cost for the winter black finish. We will have to strip and refinish the centers. It would be an additional $80.00 per rim for car show quality with clear-coat. Let me know. I will give you the nam price for the wheels, and then add the shop charges. I will put your kit up along with the nam kits if you want to go ahead, so you can execute your kit online.
You will love them. Bryce Smythson. 949-725-7983

The wheels above are the ones I was looking for and they are "UBER GREY" not "WINTER BLACK".

Now I am not buying any Axxis wheels debadged for any nam kit group fricking deal, thats just wrong. I am getting the real thing if I want to get this style.

I understand that many manufacturers lease their products to others and they get renamed but claiming they have been made for them exclusive is just not right.

WORKSGP>>>>If they told you you are getting winter black then you should get BLACK, if the color resembles the one above deliver by Alexander mini then you know you DO NOT have what you order.

Black is Black does not matter if you put winter summer or fall before it, not grey or antarcrap or whatever...To me is just wrong to make false claims.

I bought a set of their Uber lug bolts & they rusted after 2 weeks. They sent another set that did the same thing and now they're not returning my calls.

I hope thier wheels don't exhibit the same "Uber quality"...

I am a huge fan of purchasing products from their original manufacturer. I do not and will not ever support replica companies. BUT, at least companies that make replica products give credit where credit is due by noting whose product they copied and adding the word "style" after it.

In the case of Palo Uber, they deny that they've sourced a product elsewhere and go as so far to say that the original manufacturer copied them! That is not ethical and that is certainly not a good business practice. I wish they'd see that being honest with the consumer would garner them respect, and likely increase their revenues.
