Shocks for GP

Shocks for GP
I am starting to build a list of things I am going to replace on the GP. It looks like it has original front shocks, and Bilstein yellows in the rear. I have a set of FSR reds on my '03, but as it's lowered, I can't use them on the GP. What are some other options I could consider?

I have these using the JCW Red Springs....Nice combo, little better than stock JCW dampers while not turning into harsher ride.

And you cant beat the price from these guys....
Dave
PS: These are the "Sport" verison of their yellows, designed for lowered suspension, which the JCW ( incl GP ) suspension is, by about 1/2 - 3/4 inch.

If you are going to continue to use the stock springs the Koni Yellows pair really well with them.

Otherwise the budget will really depend on what your options are as they are very different.

I have JRZ RS with Swift springs. Lots of adjustability but definitely took some time to get set up correctly.
Generally if you go with aftermarket coilovers you'll need to get some rear trailing arm shock bushings from WayMotorworks and be super careful with tightening the bolts into the rear trailing arms. Many GP folks with aftermarket coilovers have had the arms machined through to use a longer bolt with a nut on the end. Much more secure than the stock threaded hole.
