GP Light Bulbs
So, my doctor gave me the go-ahead to take the Mini out. He was not over-joyed but my shoulder is coming along nicely (at this point my right shoulder hurt so bad that I was still in an arm chair taking pain pills to sleep... this one is already at near 100% range of motion) and it was obvious I was not going to be restrained much longer.
The new rear bumper cover is almost ready. In the meantime, I want to replace the yellow outside bulbs with either silver/amber or led bulbs. I really don't like the search here, so this may have been answered already, but I can't find it. I looked online but I am not sure exactly what a scuttle light is actually called
Will LEDs work without problem in turn signals and markers? And what bulb types go in the scuttles and in the lower lights on the front bumper?
Thanks!

So I replaced all the bulbs in my tail lights with LEDs. Insanely bright and they work great.
Okay, no they don't. Easy mods are never easy and are always a PITA.
Anyway, the flashers fast flash - but of course new Mini's don't have flasher relays, so in order to fix the problem I need to wire resistors into the tail lights.
I can do that, but do I want to? I resist screwing around with a perfectly good electrical system. Kind of how I feel about jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. Any thoughts or opinions?

I had to wire in a resistor on my '04 R53 to stop the hyper flash.....worked fine. I can try and find you my rear tail, brake & turn bulbs that I used in my car if interested. I have not changed my front bulbs to LED's.....yet
I also put LED's in the side scuttle signals and it worked fine without a resistor
I used these for the side scuttle turn signal --> https://www.ebay.com/itm/4x-T10-194-...IAAOSwUpFcCIEy

I was going to go that route on the scuttles, but the lenses were totally whack so I just replaced them.

That looks great! I like the smoked look on the darker car. The dark scuttles look nice too...

I may take them back off and paint the vents a gloss black to match the car's exterior paint
