Last GP Thread for a Bit

Well, I go in for shoulder surgery tomorrow. It is going to be 6 weeks before I can drive the GP.

I spent 40± hours correcting the paint and it looks perfect right now. It has a good coat of wax and sealer on it. But, living in Florida, I am concerned about letting it sit in the sun for that long, un-driven. I have a cover that came with it, but no matter what I can't get it to fit. I don't want the paint to get damaged sitting with no way to wash it or wax it.

Then there's the inside... I have a sun shade in the front window and tinted windows all around, but it is still going to get super hot inside the car. I don't want any heat damage inside.

So, does anyone have suggestions? I finally have her where I want her - I don't want her sliding backwards!

No friends down there that has garage space that you could use or rent while you are on the mend?? Maybe one of those self-storage units for a couple months??

Great idea - never thought of a self-storage unit. I have a friend who is a Mini and Porsche guy who has generously volunteered to drive it periodically. Unfortunately, I didn't think to ask sooner - my surgery is tomorrow morning at 5 am and if it is like the last rotator cuff repair, it is going to suck for 4 weeks or so.

If you can get it inside or covered up, that would be ideal, the sun is going to be terrible on the interior I would think
