Pricing of GP rear seat delete

Yeah, I don't think this kit is in direct competition with the aftermarket kits or home built plywood things.

I will likely go this route as well as the pukka kit looks proper job to my eyes.
I'll keep a lookout for the R53 GP part, but the chances are remote that I'd score one, so the R56 GP2 option is attractive as I've seen it done by a few on the UK forums and it looks good. It requires a little trimming, and appears to be a straightforward install.
I'd like to do something like Coen de K did here:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ml#post2220629
The carpet looks great,
or possible alternative maybe use some sort of textured krinkle type paint.
Yes, perhaps the price is insane for a piece of foam, but I like it.
A couple of days ago I ordered one from Lohen and after removal of VAT tax + £25 shipping, it was:
Your order Total: £78.33
...which worked out to $105.
http://www.lohen.co.uk/shop/gen-2-mi...artment-detail
But then a followup email indicated the website listed the wrong shipping rate and additional £100 would be required, so I canceled the order, and I understood the charge because it is a bulky oddsized item, but may go ahead and get it anyway as I think this through because I'm sure the part will be NLA in the very near future.
I would love it if any Stateside suppliers can get this part as it would ease the pain of high shipping costs.
Is this part available from anyone over here?
Thanks.

thanks for the link!
If I do decide to do it with that style I would opt to DIY and just make a template to cut,
so maybe that's where I'll go in the end as it is very cost effective.
But I would prefer the factory piece just because of how it looks.
Also I like the cubby-holes and how the foam would provide at least a little sound deadening.
Are these the correct part numbers below?
71 10 7 330 570 - seat foam bit
51 47 7 330 568 - lockable cover
51 47 7 333 698 - locking bracket
51 47 7 368 429 - clip
51 47 7 368 430 - lock/fastener
Apparently these parts are easily available in the UK from dealers.
The foam bit runs around £50.
The cover lid around £185.
Can I order these parts from a MINI dealer in the USA?

Looks good!
By the way,
I just did a search and this company appears to be Stateside.
Has anyone here ever ordered from FCP?
They have the lid for $301.99 if I'm reading the part # correctly...
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/min...er-51477330568
...but I don't want the lid, only the foam bit,
and it is backordered:
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/min...er-71107330570
I think I'll try to contact them for further info as the free shipping would be a major bonus!

Wow.
I'm really stoked about this.
Many many thanks for your help and assistance!
I may go whole hog and get the fiberglass panels that Orranje offers:
https://orranje.co.uk/shop-by-brand/...nterior-panels
...although I wouldn't cut up my cards but find some salvage ones to work with.
I'd reckon that the R53 foam bit is NLA?
Do you think any may be sitting somewhere on a dealer's parts shelf?
Does anyone know the part number for this specific piece to the R53 GP?
Regardless,
I'll make do with the GP2 part and just trim to fit as they're pretty much the same thing anyway.

We can get all the GP parts that are still out there, only a couple i know of are nla, they are not picky about Vins anymore like they used to be. I would jump on them because i am seeing more and more going nla and as well as Gen 1 and some Gen 2 JCW parts

Wow!
I didn't know the R53 GP stuff was still available, that's great news!
I'm horrible at finding part numbers --- I tried using realoem but I couldn't seem to find any GP-specific stuff.
Does anyone know the part #'s for the R53 GP rear seat delete, or can link to diagram image, or tell me how to go about finding the part #'s?
Saab used to put out a paperbound "quick reference parts catalogue" ...
...which was great to have and easy to use,
does MINI have anything similar to this?
Something printed out on actual paper?
If so, what is the part #?
...please pardon this flurry of questions!
I got rather excited to hear that there is a possibility that these parts are still available.
