Two Exciting GP's

I thought it would be fun for all to watch as we have two GP's for sale on eBay. One about to close and one that has yet to meet the reserve and has approx. three days left. Here are the links for all to enjoy.

One about to close: http://www.ebay.com/itm/162394807593

Three days left: http://www.ebay.com/itm/152440495942

Just in all fairness I am the lister of the second one, Hope that is acceptable but wanted to share as I am closely watching the other Mini with more miles! Hope all can enjoy!

You barely broke that in. New car smell?

yes...it literally still has the new car smell. The owner is a car collector that maintained and regularly exercised the car. Needs room in the garage for new projects.

Gp

Are you the owner or helping the owner?

I am selling the vehicle for the owner. He is closely watching this thread though and is in constant communication with me.

Fishing expedition.

I'm sorry you feel that way and/or didn't like something I said in our private messages to one another. I made it clear in my OP that I am the lister of the 2nd car.

Yep fishing expedition. Sounds as if you have no idea what the car is worth so you talked the owner into listing the car on Ebay.

You think because I wouldn't tell you (via private message) the amount of the reserve of a live auction that we don't know the value? Ok. I hope others on this forum appreciated the notice. Have a nice day.

Here is my PM that I sent before I realized you were not the owner and your response. Have "fun"

I sent: How much are you looking to get out of the car?

You responded: Now that would ruin all the fun! He's asking more than the one that ended in ebay and less than it was new. Be happy to share details if it doesn't sell at the end of the auction!

My reply: You are attempting to sell the car on ebay so why am I not surprised that you joined the forum for the only reason of advertising that fact and responded with the above.

Hi,

I have a sincere interest in the car. I have family in Rio Rancho and visit regularly. I placed a bid on ebay...reserve not met. Let me know if you want to discuss after the auction ends.

Thanks,

Michael

Crazy not one but two awesome Gen 1 GPs are for sale at practically at the same time. I can't say I an an expert on their value, I am the lucky owner of GP#1320. What I think they are worth and what they actually sell for can be completely off. Did you see the post with the GP in the dealership showroom someone bought at the end of last year with less than 100 miles? A time capsule which sold for around sticker of what it sold for in 2006. I thought it might appreciate but it hadn't. I thought the GP on ebay with around 35k miles would certainly go for more than 14k. Someone stole that one. Im interested to see if the one you are selling for someone will meet the reserve. I wonder how bad the owner really wants it gone. I hope he doesn't give it away. The only thing I can say with out a shadow of doubt....these are badass MINIs no matter how many miles are on them :)

Surprise it did not sell as the reserve was not met at $23,500. Next stop Bring a Trailer but of course with another reserve?

Sorry I just hate fishing threads which IMO was all this was.

Michael,

Sending you a private message.

Thank you.

If anyone else is still interested please send a private message.

r53coop: Your responses are entertaining! FYI it will be sold in the next 48 hours and not be re-listed again.

Going....Going.....Gone

The Mini Cooper John Cooper Works GP #0700 was sold for $28,000 as of today.

CanAm68 Feb 27, 2017 04:06 AM

28k? wow...some strong money! The other GP that was bought for only 14k with the low miles (under 40k) was stolen!!!!!! my opinion only :)
