jcw wc50 vs our GP's
I also saw a gp for sale up at Mini of B'ham. Only 6k miles looked flawless. Sticker said 28 grand. Anyone interested pm me. Or email them.
Kinda cool seeing a gp sitting next to the wc50. I got pics of both if anyone is interested.

Post the pics!
I'm not a GP owner, but I've been to the London Park Lane Dealer and seen the WC50 they have there and everything on it is just cosmetic, its in the same manner as the Laurel edition. Don't get me wrong, it looks really cool in person, but I'm not seeing the point of this thread. The two cars aren't really comparable.

I have to say, having the pleasure to own both a Laurel Sport and a GP, the LS MCS is a great car that I enjoyed driving so much that I had to go look for a Mini for myself. That led me to the GP. Having never driven one and only heard about how great they are forum posts and a friend who drove one before, I decided to take a chance.
It took a whole 30 seconds into the test drive for me to realize, this is the most fun car I've ever had the pleasure to drive. It zips like no other and that SC whine, well, its very addicting!!!
There isn't really comparable to the GP. Its unique in the way/parts that was used to put it together, but most unique in the driving experience that it provides. Sure I love to put put around in the Laurel b/c it mainly looks hot (pulled into Portos in Glendale and pretty much everyone who was sitting outside turned their heads and looked at the car for a few seconds). Never thought I would get looks like that in Mini. And is coming from driving a Laguna Seca Blue M Coupe.
But the GP, not only does it turn heads b/c it looks like a street legal go-kart with its unique wheels, body kit, and CF wing, but its got this ability to put a huge grin on your face every time you mash the gas. I think a lot of the performance that was gained is due to the lightweight factor. So the more options you pile on and the more creature comforts, well, all that takes away from the performance. So unless Mini piles on the power, a WC50 is just another Laurel Sport. Looks cool, but is probably a little blah in the smiles per miles dept.
Now the GP, thats just endless smiles per miles!!!
