Other Tire Sizes for GP Wheels
There aren't many Tires available in the 205/40-18 Tire Size. Actually, according to TireRack.com, there are only 4 different tires available.
I want to ditch the Run Flats and go Non-Run Flats. What other tire sizes would work with the GP Wheels?? According to TireRack.com, another option I have is 215/35-18 but is there any other sizes? Also.... I recently ordered 16x7 O.Z. Superturismo WRC Wheels with All-Season Tires (195/55-16) for the GP. My plan is to use these (O.Z. Wheels) for daily commuting and use the GP Wheels for Track/Auto-X Events. The GP Wheels will have Ultra-Peformance or Higher Summer Tires on them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |
I run 18x7 R109 factory wheels with 225/40/18's. Now that's with a 2" drop so at stock height there shouldn't be any rubbing issues at all.

Any updates on 225/40-18 fitment on stock GP?
Sorry, to revive old Walking Dead Thread. |

The summer tire choices are a little limited for 18x7 wheels. 215 is about the widest width recommended for the 7" wheel. I use 215/40-18.
I use the Michelin Pilot Super Sport with a UTQG of 300 because they were the stickiest option a few months ago when I purchased tires. I like the Michelins. However, I see that Bridgestone just came out with the Potenza RE-71R in 215/40-18 with a UTQG of 200. I would really check these out. They would have been my choice if available three months ago. |
