What's the stupidest thing you've heard someone say about the MINI (or any car)?
Alright, I got one.
So I'm sitting on the ground today by my MINI, putting my tint film on my tail lights. I'm minding my own business, just putting the film on. Well, my redneck neighbor pulls up in his car and says....
Him: "Have you ever taken that down stairs?"
Me: "Uh....no."
Him: "Well, they did in the movie."
Me: "Yea, I know."
Him: "So, you havn't tried that yet?"
Me: "No."

Umm, I'm not sure why you posted a pic of a Foci, but they don't have V6's in them. There are some that have V8's, but those are transplanted.

Oh sure the Ford GT is one of the better ones produced, but who in their right mind can realistically afford it... Especially a non-mini owning mullet that says some dumb crack about a mini having no V-6... kinda not even in the same category as cars comparing a mini with a v-6 having type of car... but that is neither here nor there...
I give up.... All I know is a V-6 type of car isn't for me.. and a MCS is... a little hyper pug of a car that growls & moves fast when you need it to...

- I'd like to get a quote please
"What kind of car is it that you would like to insure?"
- A MINI Cooper S
"Who makes that?"
- ... ... ... MINI
"I don't have MINI in our system, is it made by another company?"
- no, MINI is the name of the car company.
etc, etc, etc.
BTW they have it listed as a BMW, and I no longer have them for insurance.

I think I'm driving an other as far as the state is concerned.
I got the same response when I was getting insurence! I had to call them back because they had to find out what the car was!
Luckly their stupid and don't know the difference between an MC and an MCS.

The MINI driver just laughed back and said "Yeah, and I like your Ford, too!"
The Jag driver sped away.

How many clowns can you fit in that? I don't know. Bring the family over and we'll find out.

"Hmm. Yeah, must be that 30-some-odd gallons of gas in your gas tank keeping your Suburban from floating away. I'll just trot out there and toss my car up in a tree until the storm passes. I can get it down with a stick later."

Stupidest thing I've heard so far was from people who either 1) did not choose the Mini, or 2) SOLD their Mini because they wanted something "more practical".
wtf? What's more practical than a high mileage car that works well in the snow that you can fit a hell of a lot of stuff into? I find my Mini to be very practical.
These weren't people with huge families either. Both were single guys.

I read all the posts and they are amazing!
When I drive my Corvette around I get alot of questions. Mainly about how fast I go. This is so irritating! The Corvette is a performance automobile, but not everyone likes to drive like an idiot.

Ditzy aunt
This may have been mentioned but here goes.
My ditzy aunt saw my MCS for the first time and asked, "Does it drive by electricity? How many batteries does it take?" I told her it has Mickey-Minnie batteries and I have to plug it in every other full moon. She absolutely fell for it.
