2011 Cooper base won't recognize key fob
 
I've got a 2011 mini Cooper, I drove it yesterday parked it, washed it, came out this afternoon key fob WORKED to unlock the car, interior lights came ON but when you put the key in the ignition switch nothing happens... It will not even turn the dash lights on. Help what could this be? Battery is hot. Key fob is otherwise working. 6sp.

Just performed this on a 2010 BMW X5 E70 that I recently picked up. Worked great, it was a bit difficult to follow with how fast you were going, but I was able to figure it out. Appreciate you putting this information out there.
