2004 R50 Flooded passenger side floor well NOW WON'T START

Where to next?
I had a plugged moon roof drain and it rained for a couple days, and at once point on my way home I noticed my passenger side floor was under about in inch of water. I haven't done anything to the car yet other than pull the negative battery cable and put the charger on it to charge the battery. When I tried again to start it, it acts like there is some sort of computer or electrical component failure. I am not an auto tech but I do work in controls and instrumentation. Where should I look next and do I need to pull the seats and all the carpet and dry out all the wires and such before it will start again. Just looking for help in where to go next. I want to get it running and fix it.

I have no personal experience with that issue since my car is a slicktop, but the BCM in the passenger footwell tends to get soaked when the sunroof drain is clogged.

Yep, the Body Control Module is prone to terminal corrosion if soaked. You have to pull off the trim on the right side of the footwell to access it to see if you need to dry it out, clean the contacts, and cross your fingers.
