Underbody paint damage from jacking the car
 

So I'm a little new and didn't realize that I should only jack up the car from the four factory jack points. Lesson learned.

Is there any way I can touch up these spots to prevent rust damage? The original paint is orange, and I've seen some MINI color touch up pens online but I feel those are for the doors, etc. I'm wondering if something like Rustoleum clear would be better than leaving it bare.

I have seen that also, there is a rubberized undercoating you can get but its black. Then you could get a can of paint close to your color and paint it on top of that. Make sure you clean it good and snip off the lifted parts.

You are jacking up the car from the correct place. If you jack it up from the jack points, you won't have any place to put the jack stands. Once you fix the paint problem, get some hard rubber and put that between your jack and the car to not cause more damage. Lift the car from there and then put your jack stands under the factory jack point.

Always use a jack pad.
Some have a slot like this for vehicles like Audi that have a tall pinch weld at the jack points.

We have those also right here: Right now on sale. I use them on my other cars also. Great to use on other cars also that have a pinch weld.
