Happy ‘Pi’ Day

It only seemed appropriate since it is ‘Pi’ Day and all to snap a quick picture of dinner.

Two large pies fit perfectly snug up against the boot. What could be better?

And one final shot after a safe delivery.

And, my, those are some big pies you have...

Baking steel and many years of tinkering, no longer need to buy "real pizza" because you can rarely find it.

They way I drive, the cheese would probably get stuck to the top of the box by the time I got home.

On Pi day, I told my first class of the day, "It is Pi Day!" One of my students responded with, "You only like Pie Day because you're fat." He's only been in country for about six months and legitimately thought it was "Pie Day" and not "Pi Day."

I got a good laugh out of that one, and then explained the difference.

There is nothing like a really good object lesson for teaching.
I am sure this is a lesson the students will remember forever...
