2004 mc40 door locks

I have an issue w my Mini hope someone can help before I tear it apart. The dr door wont unlock from remote only manually w key. Console doesn't lock or unlock dr door, r door locks works fine.

Sorry ... sounds like you need to pull and test (be prepared to replace) the lock actuator.

Pull it and bench test, it may have just gone to far and is now stuck.

+1 test that and make sure the console toggle bank is plugged all the way in.

Then again test the lock itself, I have seen them get wreak on the unlock but are easy to lock before they fail.

JA, TY for ur response, I looked at the pin outs on the actuator and referred to mini service manual but have no clue which pins to test, hope u can help me w that.

TY for getting back to me, I ordered an actuator from u today, one question is whats the pins to test it, I have reviewed the service manual and it doesn't give enough info, hope u can help, I would like to bench test it just for GP

I forget the pins, but you can make a small jumper and just test from pin to pin. What I have seen is the little actuators just get weak over the years.

Thanks for the order. When I did mine back in the day I did both sides so one would not go bad then the other.

...Yea, I normally just order the new part, then if I can fix the old one I put it on the shelf, but sometimes as I am trying to fix the pulled part it doesn't make it past the "Percussive Maintenance".
