The F56 MINI Eventuri intake system

In the process of purchasing the The F56 MINI Eventuri intake system http://www.eventuri.net/products/f56...-cooper-s-jcw/. before I do so I'm checking with mini to make sure it doesn't void the warranty on my 2019 JCW that just came in a couple weeks ago. Anyone heard of this co or the intake system. Looks impressive and love the carbon fiber look.

Just recently saw it posted on NAM. Way too much money for me. As for warranty, if you have a problem with your car and MINI can show that the intake was responsible for the problem then warranty for that problem would be gone. If you put the intake on and your rear wheel falls off you are still ok, if your engine happens to seize or blow up you just might be in for a world of pain.

Personally, I wouldn't sweat it. All it is is a different air filter system as far as they are concerned. I've had mine to the dealers for service on several occasions. I've had four different systems installed at various times and the only thing they mentioned was how much they like my current setup. I ended up with the ArmaSpeed system. Another over priced system, but not as expensive as the Eventuri.

It will not void your warranty, dealt with dealerships for years(since 2004). The biggest thing they worry about if any is engine internal part changed and turbo upgrades that they can try to point back to a problem, or neglect. Its always case by case anyway and up to the dealership chain. You can give them a call and a head up beforehand on the service side if you are worried.

I know much more about 911s than I do Mini's. I've wanted.a mini since I was 15 years old. Well... that was a very, very long time ago. I might be asking a dumb question but I'm new to the mini lifestyle. I'm basically wanting to boost the horse power some and make the engine look fancy. This is a toy for me and I just want to have some fun. I'm not sure what you call it, but on your top engine "Turbo Red Cover" where did you get that at and the red what I think is the engine sway bar? Please excuse my ignorance. I really like how you have your mini setup.

I would disagree !

Even that MINI established a cool image, its still the pea counters from BMW which rule. In case of a blew up you have bad cards ,because they gladly jump on anything for excuse.

The more important issue, take the worst case of 3rd parties personal injuries your insurance company would scan the car also for excuse not to pay.

Thanks. I think you'll find the the intake is good for a couple horsepower at best unless combined with other components + a tune. But it does look great. I believe it to be superior to most other aftermarket "cold air" intakes that suck hot air from the engine compartment. I went with the ArmaSpeed because it was the only true CAI system available at the time. The red engine cover is the stock piece that I had painted at the body shop (Chili Red) and the "John Cooper" signature was found on eBay. The front strut bar came from NM Engineering.

OP, judging by your username I'm assuming you're from California? If thats the case you may want to make sure that will pass visual and has a carb exemption before buying it. Lots of money and effort to have to take off every time you get a smog down the road/risk a ticket if the popo asks you to pop the hood

For the price there is so much more you can do to actually improve the power and handling of your MINI. It's just not going to make power as the amount in temp drop you would have to get before the turbo to see a difference after the turbo for real HP gain you just can't get it. The funds for that intake would go a long way towards the Forge intercooler that would cool the air after the turbo and show real gains for you.

You guys that live outside of CA are lucky. If I installed that intake system, I would not be able to pass smog inspection.

Need a new intake

I purchased a AWE - SFLO in October and it cracked with normal wear & tear. AWE will not replace, so I was thinking about purchasing the Eventuri intake system. Does anyone know if ECS tuning is planning any sales for presidents day or group buy discounts?

Nothing planned as of yet since the Eventuri MINI intake is so new. We are offering free shipping. If we do something I will post up.
In the past it's usually the end of the year and its just a couple single % off its still up in the air if they will do that or not. Call into our sales team and let them know what you want and they can see if they can help you out.
There is a pre and post LCI unit. If you click on our link above you can see the MAFs and the year split.

So what happens if it rains and you have that hood scoop? Thats what I'm curious about. I'm seriously looking at one of these.

Nothing, because they are designed to work rain or shine. This question is brought up every time someone comes out with an intake that uses the hood scoop. I was constantly questioned about that when I had my R56 with the AEM intake system. Never had a problem, whether it was in a downpour or in a snowstorm I ran into on I-40. The stock intake takes air from directly behind the grill. I doubt the grill is what keeps water out of that system.
