Looking to buy sportsman. Need advice

Hi there. I am interested in buying a second hand mini s countryman all4. Its a 2011 and has 119,000kms on it. I took it for a test drive and it was clunky and really noisy. The dealer said that it had winter tires and a rear bushing that needed to be relpaced. It also meeds a new windshield. He is asking 10,900 plus 15%tax. The dealer says that the repairs will be completed before purchase. Is there anything else that i need to consider before buying? I listened to the engine for timing chain noise. The engine was noisier than my kia but minis are noisy... i couldnt hear a distinct rattle... he said he would take my 2015 kia sportage that has 68,000 kms on it and would add an after market warranty on the mini as an even trade.
i love the mini.. but i am afraid im making a bad choice trading my newer kia with half the mileage and is still under factory warranty for the 2011 mini....
the fun side says go for it.. the practical side says no way!
HELP

Will this be your primary or only car? If so, I’d look for something with fewer kilometers on it and a few years newer.

While the km’s on it aren’t terrible, it’s still a tough proposition from jumping from a 3 year old car to a 7 year old car. If it’s to be your daily driver, and not just a commuter car, I’d want something where it was under warranty or had no issues at all. I bought a 4 year old one about 2 years ago, but hunted for one with no issues and low mileage (had 38k kms on it). And was out 2nd car.

If you do do decide to go for it, hopefully you’re at a MINI dealership and not just a used lot. Those additional repairs being done, I would want done by MINI with factory parts and a tech that’s familiar with the car. If you’re not at a MINI dealership, get a pre purchase inspection done. Well worth the money up front that could save you thousands in the end.

Best of luck and hopefulmy you find your MINI!
