Pre delivery inspection failure

Pre delivery inspection failure
My 19 Mini recently arrived at the dealer but apparently failed the PDI. The dealer doesn’t seem concerned but have not told me specifically what the problem is. When I called my window tint installer to postpone my appointment they said this happens all the time with all brands. I’ve always purchased new cars but this is my first experience trying to pick a car up a day or two after it arrived at the dealer. Anybody else experience this? They have another car like mine on the lot, with a manual rather than automatic. I’m wondering if I should just take that one. Would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

Mannnyy years ago, I knew of an El Camino that, as it was backed off of the train car, it rolled off at an angle, backed out of the ramps, fell off the top rail, landed on it's "top", mostly crushing it.
Chevy gave to us at Chaffey Collage (SoCal), we went to a junk yard, got a junk roof and one front fender, installed them and went drag racing with it.
Hope your's isn't that bad.

Thanks Capt bj and OCR,
after a weekend of anxiety imagining the worst, it turned out my problem was a bad seatbelt tensioner. I’m picking up my MCSc tomorrow. I am really excited to move from my soul-less Toyota to a machine that makes me feel alive. The forecast is for t’storms and heavy rain so I doubt my top will be down. Other than that I am expecting a perfect day! Thanks again.

When I worked for a dealership many, many years ago we had a three hour PDI to do, it was not only an Inspection it was also a service, including things like re-torquing the head, wheel nuts, and all suspension mounting hardware. sometimes during the PDI we would find issues that required ordering parts, e.g., nuts, bolts, washers, spacers, bushings and other things we just didn't always have in stock in our Parts Department. And this could delay the delivery depending on the availability of the part, it sucks if it a brand new model and the service parts were not in the Logistics System yet...
More than likely it is not a huge issue just a small inconvenience.
The last two new cars I ordered, I was traveling when they had been delivered to the dealership and they sat waiting for me between a few weeks and a few months. My main worry was while they were sitting on the showroom floor waiting for me to come get it, someone would offer a cash buy because of their unique configurations.
But both Dealerships had politely refused selling them but assisted those customer in ordering unique vehicles of their own.
Hang in there, hopefully only a few more days then you can ...
