Last one for tonight.
Way Motor Works: A long time NAM Vendor, Way Motor Works is from Atlanta and similar to Detroit Tuned is also a full service MINI Maintenance Shop. They brought a truck load of MINI parts and accessories. They also serve as the "MOTD Used Part Depot" whereas those attending can take their used parts and Way displays them for other MOTD folks to review and hopefully purchase.

My Grandson got to sit in this beautiful Classic Mini race car.. Really nice lady to allow him the opportunity. He had been walking around it off and on for the last two days and drooling over it. He has got to know most of the other vendors since he’s been here. This afternoon he drew the names of 16 lucky winners of various prizes donated by some of our site sponsors.

I have been stuck in MOTD Village, aka Vendor Ally and only get on the roads coming and going. Had dinner here at Fontana last night and then went with some friends to the Dragon. Got to the Overlook at MM 9 and pulled over. There was a Lotus there so we chatted and then after the traffic had some time to get out in front of us, we pulled out to head back. I was going at a spirited pace, looked in the mirror and said to myself "I can't be going that fast," so I pulled over. They came around the corner after a while and pulled over with me. Walked up as they were getting out to open the hood, "clutch is slipping." Let the car cool a little and then limped back. Got back in late.
They are going to attempt to head back around 10. If cannot get up the hills will use AAA but they only have a 200 mile pull so I told them to go as far as they could and then I would meet up with them and they could piggy back off my AAA to get home. Closing up shop here around 12:30.

Went on the Dragonfire Run this morning. Took some great roads getting there. ~95 miles/2.5 hour drive counting the “rest” stop. Watched some glass blowers working and got a dragon wing drinking glass as a lovely parting gift. Pizza was provided for lunch, but my copilot and I went about a quarter mile down the road to Haywood’s BBQ joint. Excellent food. The brisket sandwich was melt in your mouth good. After KCBS BBQ judging for 8 years and catering BBQ for ~10 years I know good Q. Let’s just say it was so good we also placed a to go order to take back to the lodge for supper. Below is a picture of the group staging at the general store, on the road through some beautiful countryside, parking at the Green Energy Park, and last but not least, a glass blower from CO that I cannot remember his name for the life of me.
It’s called the Green Energy Park because the glass furnaces and the forges in the other shop all run on methane gas that’s piped in from an old closed landfill across the road.

We had three NAM Vendors; AWE Tuning, ECS Tuning and MINI Mania donate some prizes to give away. In turn we asked people to register with names being drawn Friday at 5 PM. It was noted that a winner did not have to be present at the drawing but did need to pick up their prize by Noon on Saturday. Of 16 prizes we had (I am only using first names):
1.) Dan and Jackie each won a MINI Mania Commutemate Cell Cup.
2.) Matt and Mary each won an AWE Tuning T-shirt that they donated to The Mini Skirts.
3.) Steve won a MINI Mania T-Shirt
4.) Linda and Alan each won a AWE Tuning T-shirt.
5.) Jan won a MINI Mania hat.
5.) Robert, Woody, Justin, Dan, Kathy, Steve, Teddy, and Daria did not claim prizes so we donated the remaining items to The Mini Skirts that is nationwide charitable organization that supports breast cancer awareness: 1 - ECS Tuning $100 wine voucher, 1 - ECS Tuning hat, 1 - MINI Mania hat, 2 - MINI Mania Car Dusters, 1 - MINI Mania Ladies T-Shirt and 2 - AWE Tuning T-shirts.
Thanks again to AWE Tuning, ECS Tuning and MINI Mania.

Last but not least, while you are driving on the Dragon you will see people set up with cameras along the way. They take pictures of just about everybody that drives on the road and then you can purchase the shots if you like. Killboy, Moonshine Photos, US129 Photos and 129 Slayer are all sites.
Lets just say there are ALLOT of MINIs photos on those sites . . . . . . .
