I got a letter regarding the extension on my 11 Countryman.

Also they said -

"Some of this underscores the article we published early this week about MINI’s reliability improvements with the new “F” generation of cars. While we’re still only four years into those cars life cycle, they seem to have both a higher build quality and less mechanical issues. As many owners can attest, both previous MINI generations have struggled in various ways with reliability as they’ve aged."

Take that you F series haters! lol

if I'm reading correctly this applies to the turbo only

not turbo equipped, the THE TURBO itself?

I've a 15 R59 ... original owner - I've seen nothing about this til now ....

I just replaced the turbo on my 2013 MCS. I wonder if they’re replacing it with the same “wastegate failure” prone unit or an improved one. It sucks that I’m over 120K but thanks for sharing.

yep, saw that. I figured they would have gone after the N14 turbo first since they both have oil line failures.

If you are out of warranty, you can get the factory one here or upgrade:

Always good to have stuff like that posted, thanks.

Would think one of the Gen3 Mods can link to your post. Double thanks.
