Checkered accessories not allowed in Australia?

Stupid question actually.

I don't see any black&white checkered roofs, mirror caps, and stripes in Sydney area. Are these not allowed in Australia because police cars have blue&white checks?

That's it! You have to move to another country!

Interesting question that only your friendly coppers can answer I guess!

Either that or just install some and see if you get pulled over for a violation.

I know what it is! You drive on the "wrong side" of the road and the checkers only come in Black and White, not White and Black!!

When I was shopping around for my car I saw one checkered mini advertised I haven't seen any on the road, maybe it doesn't appeal to many Aussies.

While you drive on the "right" side of the road, we drive on the "correct" side

They look OK in small doses. I'm considering checkered side mirror caps only. I will not go overboard.

I had checkers on my Ozzie R53.

I think if the coppers had pulled me over the checkers would have been the least of my worries !!!
