I have 2013 MCS.
I purchased hood OEM strips and plan to install them tomorrow. Does anyone knows how far from the edge of the hood (by windshield) the stripe needs to be? Thx.

 

If they are pre-cut to length just lay it on there and find where it fit between the windshield and the grille, so that gap will be equal at both spots.. If they are cut longer then need be I'd pop the belt line up alittle and tuck it under there, and then tuck it is behind the grille to keep from having exposed corner edges so you won't possibly pick/peel them as you wash the car etc...

 

Thank you, I should clarify, edge from left/right. from the looks of it, it is about 12 inches.

 

Not sure if there really is a "standard" measurement to use, there have been so many different layouts done. Assuming they are not pre-cut to length, I'd go with whatever you like to look at. Lay them both on there at your measurment and stand back for a look, and then play with it some to achive what you want. The first one is easy just apply it, and then get good measurements to duplicate the 2nd one..
If they are precut you have to apply then in a certain spot to leave the same amount of gap at the grille and the beltline, which will in turn tell you where they go to achive that. No measurement required. Hope all that makes sense..
