MINI Loyalty?

How loyal are MINI owners?

Have you (do you) owned more than one?
Would you ever own another?

I'm currently on my second one. My first was a 2007 Cooper (automatic).
Now I have a 2010 MCS (manual).
I would definitely own another, hopefully a JCW.

The 2011 JCWed MCS is my first MINI, but MINI (and Mini) has been my ideal car in mind as long as I could remember, and I'll likely replace this MINI with another one in the future.

Unless they screw up big time or offer something "better", that will be another hatchback (F56 or whatever that comes next). At this point I'm fairly sure I'll go with a factory JCW next time around.

I'm not really a swap cars every 2-3 years kinda guy, and I prefer buying rather than leasing so I won't be racking up number of MINI I will have owned, but I think I'm a fairly loyal MINI fan, I think.

I don't know if I'll be a loyal customer to corporate MINI/BMW though. I may go for an R53 JCW and mod the heck out of it instead of buying new again.

I'm 72 years old and have owned 61 cars (mostly interesting ones) and my JCW'ed 2011 MCS is the most fun car I have ever had. I also own a @2013 BMW M3, and that will go on the block before my Mini. So don't pine away for more expensive cars, Ive had them all, the right Mini is as much fun as it gets.

Never owned one before this. Don't know if I'll get another one or not. I tend to keep cars a very long time, and by the time I'm ready to retire Fenimore I may be interested in something else altogether. (Cold-fusion powered? )

This is my first Mini and the first car I've ever bought. I have no plans on replacing him, but if I had to, I'd find another R53.

My one and only MINI. I will never own another one because it will never be the same ever.

My daughter (age16) has been looking at Mini Coopers since she was 9. There was no question what kind of car she wanted. We bought her a 2009 hardtop , mostly so I could drive it and get out of the van. It's a manual and she is doing great on it. I fell in love with it too. I opted for the country man because my son is 6'3" . Hopefully I won't have to many issues with them because I totally plan to drive Minis for a very long time. I love them all!

More than 1 I hope...

I definitely want another MINI only for my Husband, I already have my pride & joy!! I think I've talked to him enough to get him to understand that his commute and the current mpg's his car gets, it would be so worth it to have another MINI. We are hopefully going to be able to start looking by the end of the year, sooner if I have my way.

I started our MINI family with a 2011 MCS hardtop automatic. Then my wife adopted a 2012 JCW Coupe. As soon as I drove that JCW with manual tranny, I wondered why I got an automatic to start with. DOH!

Flash forward to April 13, 2013. I traded the 2011 MCS for a 2013 GP #0372. Oh dang, what a joy to drive it is.

Follow that up with us buying our middle son his first car, a 2003 Base Cooper hardtop. Classy looking for sure!

Why yes, we love our MINIs. One word describes the driving experience.

FUN

We have two MINIs, and we chose them carefully so that they will hopefully last a VERY long time. We tend to drive a car until it is so outdated unfixable that we have to pay someone to drag it away... but we've never taken care of a car like we do our new MINIs. I'm 52, and when I am 82 and they take my fob away, that's when I will stop driving Winnie. She'll be a classic by then, and someone in the family will take over the reins. So, yes, loyal... but with any luck, we won't buy another MINI from them for many years, because we love our current ones so much.

I have my second on order. Love my Clubbie S but have a JCW CM in transit. As for loyalty I may cancel the order. They changed the load floor option in the boot area after I ordered and it may not work for me.

I never had thought of owning/driving a MINI until my wife got a new 2010 R57S convertible (I had always been into modding/driving Japanese cars). Instantly hooked!

Even knowing that MINIs aren't the most reliable, we still just picked up a new 2013 Countryman S (it's good to have a car that's a few years into production to work out most of the kinks). For the price, I can't think of another other brand that's more fun/stylish!!

I've owned a 2008 MINI Cooper. It was good to me and now my 2011 MCS is amazing to me. I don't want to sell her or trade her in when time comes to expand my family. I will probably own a 2.0L Countryman JCW. I'll wait for the next batch since they're changing. I love the MINI brand, hopefully it doesn't change too much.

We're up to our 5th MINI (and still have the 3rd as well). We're thinking of buying a 6th. I might have went for a different brand for a performance car (a Porche maybe), but the wife wanted the MINI.

Ill say!

MCS R53 in 06 modded, loved it
Traded in for element due to baby pressure
Year later we agreed we made a 'cornballer' level mistake, and turned it in for a clubman s. recently sold it and am awaiting delivery on a countryman s. the family grows, but we try and remain a one car, one MINI, family.

I feel the same way. The fit/finish might not be the best, and I've definitely had my share of issues in regards to reliability...but I love my MINI. My fiancee keeps glancing over the Countryman (I like small, sporty cars...she likes to be er, practical).

Who knows though, I still keep eyeballing the 135i's and 911's...but that'll be a ways down the road.

I'm on MINI #3. My first was an '06 R50 Checkmate. The second was a '10 R56 non-S, and I am now on a non-S Countryman. I've never had any reliability or mechanical issues, although the thermostat broke on my '06 and was replaced under warranty.

MINIs suit my personality, and I have always loved them (beginning with my first exposure to a classic many years ago). I love the quirkiness and the fact that no two are exactly alike. Plus, the community is an amazing aspect as well. Back in the mid 90's, I had a Saturn and they attempted to do the same thing with building community. I think our personalities cause us to be drawn to certain types of cars.

Nobody will ever say, "Look - a Corolla" or "Look - a Civic", but people still say, "Look - A MINI!"

First MINI was a 2002 R53. Sold in 2009. Bought a 2006 R53 last year after a couple years in an Audi TT. I like Audi's (on my third A4 besides the TT) but MINI's are more fun.

I'm an equal opportunity shopper. When it comes time to move on from the Dragon Wagon, it will be difficult since its a fun car to drive and the MINI community is cool. I will look to see what MINI has available at the time, but I am definitely not brand loyal.

Just bought an 06 Cabrio MCS. Added smaller pulley and a bigger sway bar. Currently shopping for a MINI replacement for my wife's Honda Civic hybrid.

I do my own wrenching which keeps my maintenance costs. I don't plan to sell my MINI. When she dies, I'll definitely get another.

I own both a Mini my 1961 Austin and a MINI my 2004 s. I wouldn't get rid of either one unless someone offered a ridiculous sum however I don't think I would buy a newer one I just don't like where BMW is steering MINI and while the prospect of a 2.0 liter is exciting are we losing the soul and essence of a MINI.

I'd like to get a countryman at some point. It's a bit annoying at times what with having a two year old. But I'm right side up in all the maintenance and new tires, etc etc so I'd just be giving it away on a trade in.
