Possible new ECU Tuning for all Turbo Mini's!!!!

First off I guess I should introduce myself. My Name is Brad and I'm fairly new to the mini world but not new to the car scene. I have been building VW's since the 90's and just got my 2nd mini but first S. So of coarse as soon as I get it it's time start modding it. When I went on a search for software tuning I have to say the results were rather blah, over priced, or discontinued. So I went to the people who I have trusted with all my software tuning in the VW world REVO Technik. During our huge VW show this past weekend I was talking to one of their sales reps and explaining my software whoa's. He said gauge some interest and if there is enough of demand then they will consider developing some flash tuning for the mini market. So I need your help folks. I need you to check them out at the link below and post if you would be interested in the software tuning. A REVO rep will be creating an account soon to answer questions and see the feedback.

Being familiar with REVO, but not with their software tuning, how would the new tunes be installed on the vehicle? Do we have to go to an authorized shop to have the tune done, or is installed via a device, a la the AccessPort from COBB Tuning?

At this point I would say unknown due to the development not being there. In the VW world you need to go to a dealer and have it flashed or send your ECU to them for flashing. They do Sell a device called the SPS which you can change settings once the ECU is flashed with their software.

Hmm interested but, the question is how they are going to go about it.

MMM, Revo. I had their tune on my GTI when the K04 went on. If they can pull it off, hopefully they can include the Boost/Fuel/Timing adjustment system that they offer for VWs.

Yea I would contend that with COBB leaving the MINI scene and stopping production and support for the AP this year, a reputable tuning company like Revo is a welcome sight and will garner much interest if the word is spread.

That is exactly right. We need to spread the word. Use your local forums if you have them and have them post on here. I'm trying to get them to send someone to MOTD to talk to people and really reach a huge number of us. Hopefully Chris from REVO will be on here soon to answer questions and anything else we need from them.
