I placed my order for my Clubman S about 2 weeks ago. How long does it take to see the car show up on the website? And how long should it take to get the car delivered to San Diego?

 

It took a week or maybe two for mine to show up, and when it did the options and color were wrong. Which is exactly what my MA told me to expect; they had traded production slots with another dealer and what I saw was what had been original scheduled for that slot.

Other people have reported many weeks before their car showed up in the OL. I think I remember reading about one owner who actually got their car before it showed in the OL, but that seems to be a rare occurrence.

After it shows in the OL, it takes some time to build. Then it sits at the docks until they have a full ship for whatever destination(s), then it sails. My sig has details for when I ordered mine, when it shipped, and when I got it. Mine was on the lower end of the range that my MA told me to expect.

Remember that West Coast deliveries take longer than East Coast. It takes the ships longer to go through the Panama Canal and get the rest of the way to LA.

A lot of discussion about the whole process, including the links and things. I'm waiting for our Coupe to be delivered, bought from MINI of San Diego, should arrive in Hueneme on Dec 8th. The Owners Lounge is pretty close to useless, just call the 1-866-ASKMINI and they will have better answers for you. Or pester your salesperson. :-)
