Saw this ad on my phone today. Must be a Goodwood or something...

CKeffer Sep 4, 2012 06:49 AM

Or a major typo....holy crap that's an expensive MINI!

Porthos Sep 4, 2012 07:13 AM

A bigger picture or link would help a lot.

It was just a phone screenshot, so I can't make it much bigger. See what this looks like:

No Goodwood, just a Badtypo.:sly:

white3 Sep 4, 2012 07:46 AM

For that price it better be a GREATWOOD

WeaverNH Sep 4, 2012 07:50 AM

Not a Goodwood. More like stick'in the wood to somebody.

leaf_fan_1988 Sep 4, 2012 07:55 AM

My cousins in Australia told me base coopers start at $60,000.
Cars are more expensive there, except for their domestic Fords and some Japanese cars that are easily shipped there. Some German cars come with a luxury tax too.
So there might be a Goodwod down under with a $160k price tag.

Poor Aussies, gotta watch out for snakes and giant bugs and then have to pay ridiculous amounts for cars, and then they get their doors kicked in by kangaroos.

Porthos Sep 4, 2012 08:17 AM

That is definitely not a Goodwood.
Also they fixed it.

Mical Sep 4, 2012 08:33 AM

I posted this one on another thread - http://www.motorwerksmini.com/Vehicl...ke=MINI&model=

submitaweasel Sep 4, 2012 08:43 AM

Already posted this in another thread...http://www.cincinnatimini.com/Vehicl...-OH/1781131553

this one has you beat by nearly $150k

spiney Sep 4, 2012 09:17 AM

submitaweasel has the lead for now. Any more?

 That made me laugh...it appears this is now a competition

Come on, I know there must be a worse typo than the one I found:thumbsup:

submitaweasel, I just posted a picture of a typo, you and Mical decided it was a competition!

WeaverNH Sep 4, 2012 11:08 AM

I'm sure it is a typo. If you drop the 1 at the end it looks like a logical price for that car.

Jim Michaels Sep 4, 2012 11:20 AM

That's exactly what they did; it's priced now at $17,995.

submitaweasel Sep 4, 2012 11:58 AM

I actually had Mical beat in another thread by $20k:razz:

I'm guessing someone hit both the "3" and "2" keys at the same time when posting the one I found

Porthos Sep 4, 2012 12:14 PM

Did you guys not read my last post that it has already been fixed? This is why we don't have nice things.

spiney Sep 4, 2012 12:35 PM

For the record, I knew it was a typo, and I knew it wasn't a Goodwood. Apparently there are a few cases of sense of humour failure around here..

CKeffer Sep 4, 2012 02:53 PM

We here on NAM do no have a sense of humor that we are aware of.

If it makes you feel any better I believed it was the first sighting of the elusive used 2008 Greatwood Edition.

A base Mini Cooper is around $30k in Australia. $60k will get you a JCW.

Is that US dollars or Australian Dollars?
