Thanks for the bump, I would not have noticed it otherwise :). I'm interested in going (and only live a couple hours away), but I will have to talk to the wife about it.
is there any date you need to have confirmation by? For reservations etc.? Don't think I saw that in the post. |
This sounds sick. I'd love to go but being in Ohio I'd really have to do a lot of preparation for this...I'd also like to know if there is a confirmation date, since June is fairly far away at this point and a lot can change by then. :thumbsup:

No conformations fore this are needed yet. As we are still a ways out I am just keeping it on peoples radar to go. As we get closer I will post more details.
As for coming from Ohio, there are people coming from PA you could possibly meet up with and drive to YS with. |
Unfortunately, I can't make the dates work this year, so I won't be able to go. It would be great if, when the trip is over, you could post any resources online that might be useful for people who want to do a drive like this in the future -- route maps, itineraries, etc.

So I had a member on one of the forums about this event offer to make decals. Below is a sample of the decals that would be available for the drive.
Not sure if we will do pick your number or assign a number. So far most people seem to want a decal number. In 2010 my wife and I drove from WV to MITM in CO, then motored with A LOT of MINIs to the MTTS finale in Denver, then to Fort Collins where our son was a Graduate Student @ Colorado State. We were in our 09 Clubman. Really enjoyed the trip, even with the heat. It was 108 when we went through St. Louis!
We are considering this Yellowstone Road Trip. Would like to visit Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse before arriving in Yellowstone, then who knows where? We just need to figure out the logistics, time, finances, etc. It really does sound interesting. |

We saw 5 other minis in Yellowstone but only talked to one owner from Kentucky. Saw about 15 or so others and a white over silver followed me about 60 miles thru Nebraska on our way back. Anyways fun cars fun trip! We are planning many mini vacations. I would like to tour Italy from the heel to the boot top! I suppose you could rent one there. Anyone ever done that one?

Even more reason for me to make sure I've got EVERYTHING done before I can commit to this trip :grin: hopefully I can get enough money for all the parts I need in time....also, I agree with Zippy, the first one looks better.

Maybe we can get enough cars and people to take over the town HAHA. A question came up if you need to attend the whole event.
Answers is NO. If you can only make half the event or only want to do half the event you can still attend. I am not holding anyone to the fire so you are welcome to come and go as you please. I will have some scheduled actives (group shots, drive areas, other being planned) that I would hope you attend but if you do not, I am not going to hunt you down ;-) |

I am still getting people singing up =) great to see all the eclectic mix of Euro cars that will hopefully be in attendance.
I am working with the West Yellowstone chamber of commerce on some special events activities while we are there. I also have a call into the National Park Service to see about arranging a special photo shoot inside the park. Navigating the red tape at the moment but hopeful i can pull it off. Remember to email friends and contact your local Euro car clubs to let them know about this event. For a forum / underground created event, it is growing rather nicely. =) |

Cheers Dates of the event June 24-28 – for meet and group activities. If you include driving to base camp it would be June 22nd – June 30th possibly depending on location you are starting from. Base camp will be West Yellowstone. There is plenty of lodging, parking and activities for a hopefully big group. I will be working on group rates at the first of the year for everyone.
