Curb damaged wheels....again....
Well, for the thrid time since owning it I scuffed a curb thus ruining yet another perfect wheel. That is the third one. Two in a prking lot and one on a turn.
I am so pissed at myself. I went almost a whole year without damaging a single one now I am just crushed that I did that.
Now I am so depressed. My poor little baby...
What the heck do people do when they trash their wheels like a moron like I keep doing? Do I drop 1500 for replacements? Do I bring them somewhere for repair? Do I try to fix them myself?
I think they could be repaired but I don't think I could do it.
PLEASE give me some word of encouragement and/or advise.

Unless you really love those wheels you might could buy after market wheels for less money then repairing those. Depending on which wheels you buy of course. Then pay more attention to your driving/parking and or don't park beside the curb if you can't judge how close to it you are. Go out in the middle somewhere alone. The car is pretty small, should be easy to park..

pictures might help a better reply ....
there are DIY repair kits
and there are repair guys who work out of trailers and will come to you - knowing where you are would help a better reply too . . .

Ouch....sounds like some skills improvement is needed...might make you feel better and more confident in the future....crap happens, but folks usually learn how to not let it happen...3rd time is the charm? Lol....most of us have paid "stupid tax" and said ouch...why the heck did I do that?
Sometimes curbed rims can be repaired by rim repair shops...a bit cheaper than replacement...
You might want to switch to a rim and or tire that is less likly to be damaged....some rims hide it better, Be some tires have a bit of a shape that lets you rub the tore on the curb, saving the rim...
Need winter rims?
You could buy a new set, then paint the old ones to make the curbing less obvious...maybe then you will have a "sexy" summer set, and a set that you don't worry about with salt and potholes for winter use....

For paint....ever hear of a rattle can, sandpaper, and masking tape and newspapers? Not hard....but the the of rims will great affect the choice to diy it or go pro....
Painted vs chrome or polished....smooth vs lots of texture...pics are with 1000 words.

I actually thought I gave sound advice on all accounts.. You had to know people/we/me would mention the driving skill part..
I could have said something like, "don't bother fixing your wheels till you learn not to hit the curb." but I didn't, I told you what I'd do in your situation.. you just didn't like it.. Which is fine, pay to fix your wheels and keep hitting the curb doesn't really affect me at all.. but please do show us some pics each time!!

I guess only a-holes have perfect rims.

not like I'm the only one on here pretty much telling you to drive better but I'm the only ***** I guess.. That's fine, and I'm an a-hole too since I have curb-less rims...which is double fine with me and cheaper too..

Just a f-d way of dealing with people.
Some people have to be a **** so they feel better about themselves. You douches don't know a damn thing about my driving. Instead of focusing on being helpful you choose to be ******.
Yeah I felt really bad about my mistake and you dicks kicked me when I was down. Like little bulies with no self esteem. I mean OBVIOUSLY I know I ****ed up. Lack of attention, having a bad day whatever, like you never EVER **** up.
I thought I could trust the mini community to be nice and helpful not a bunch of self absorbed jerks.
I will learn how to drive but you will probably never learn how to not be a ****.

But as many pilots say... "attitude determines altitude"....
Sounds like the op has some extra emotions....one snippy remark, and he melts down his own thread....ouch. but explains a lot.
