Why are the Bentley manual's pictures so lame?

I can't believe the poor quality of the photo's in the Bentley manual. They're low-contrast, black & white and extremely low resolution. They remind me of the pictures you'd get out of one of those "spy-cameras" advertised in the back of magazines in the 70's. You kinda know what's in the pic, but half the time, it's worthless. Really, in the age of megapixel cell-phone cameras, what the heck are they using to take pictures?

All I can say is thank god for Google search and the forum guys worldwide (and RealOEM) for providing real pictures and diagrams.

I know.

I had the Haynes manual and thought the Bentley would be better. I still use the Haynes way more when doing maintenance.

This is interesting, I thought one of the great things about the Bentley manual was the pictures. Hrm....

I agree. The pics are underexposed and some are so small as to be worthless. Kind of short on detail even in the steps. Other things, like the transmission, have no detail whatsoever as to the internals. WTF is up with that! The Toyota and Nissan Service Manuals are far superior to the Bentley stuff.
