Yeah...here's a pic of what was done to the bumper and engine bay...17K for body work alone. Totaled? Yeah...
At least you came out of the accident in one piece.
As I mentioned before, my Budget rental car is a Fiat 500. I'm enjoying the car. My wife drives a Jaguar XF and my 22 year-old daughter, who lives at home, just bought an'09 BMW 328i with 29,132 miles on it yesterday. I'm a lawyer driving a Fiat 500. Sweet! Ha!
Any PW owners have any updates on their MINIs, particularly those on order? Love to see some PW pictures from those fortunate enough to have a PW MINI parked in their garage.
Those wheels are absolutely awesome. May I ask what an equivalent set of BBS wheels for a MINI approximately sell for?
I believe they don't make them anymore so prices for good condition ones are upwards of $1500-3500, at least that's how much I'm seeing them locally but I'm sure some wheel guys will correct me or have a better estimate on price.
If anything, check ebay for BBS RS.

Haha, thanks! I'd like my Mini more right now if the alternator wasn't at the shop to be repaired I'll be getting SSR SP1s, similar to Work Meisters, so I won't be on the replica boat for not too long hopefully.
Nice Jeep, but my money's on the MINI. You have two very nice vehicles.
Thank you, my friend. The "new to me" Jeep was a surprise - my wife had been after me for the last year to get rid of my old Jeep - a 2000 Cherokee. It was starting to cost me in repairs. After it just needed brakes (drums, rotors/calipers & pads on all four corners) I couldn't argue with her anymore. Of course, now it's really in the best shape it's been in for years and it's out front for sale. Best beach buggy I'll probably ever have...
The new Wrangler has a 2" lift and Pro Comp wheels - can't wait to get it on the beach.

I bought my youngest daughter a new '07 Wrangler for her 16th birthday. She graduated from Ohio State in May. "Spike" had 48k miles and a foot long list of repairs, problems, etc., so she sold it to Car Max for $14,000 last week. Using the cash for a down payment, she bought an '09 BMW 328i with 29k miles for $23,000. I took it in for the scheduled 30,000 mile inspection and discovered that "Brutus" (as in OSU mascot Brutus Buckeye) has a few months remaining on the original BMW warranty and the extended maintenance program, which remains in effect through October 2015. The car is immaculate in appearance and well-maintained, so we're keeping our fingers crossed. "Spike" was fun, but it's time to move on.

That style Jeep rules around the beach scene. We just returned from the beach during vacation and they are eye catchers. There is almost as much "youification" on Jeeps as there is on MINI's. Have fun. You'll have a tough time deciding which to drive.

You make a valid point. I can't think of another vehicle that traditionally exhibits so much personalization as the MINI. Jeep comes very close., I'll say that.

The 328i is a nice car - hope it works out well for her. My Wrangler (also an '09) has 15K on it. It was almost impossible to pass up.

Ha - I'm already having a hard time deciding. The plan is to use the Wrangler ("Thor") on rainy, snowy, nasty days and the Kid will only come out on sunny days. This will let me keep him longer - I'm loving my R56 right now and given the sneak previews of the F56, my next MINI is very much up in the air...

I can see a run on used MINI's and used values increasing as a result of the F56 . That, if the photos are the real thing. Could they be feeding us fake photos so that they aren't copied and they build suspense?
