Coated my new wheels with GTechniq C5 Wheel Armour, installed my rim protectors, put on my Tire Stickers, and tried Turtle Wax's Jet Black Endura Shine for the first time. It leaves a smooth coating on the wheel, almost like plastic.

Thanks! I use Solution Finish--https://autogeek.ecomm-search.com/se...t%2Ftest1.html

It's almost like a dye for your rubber and trim.

Spent all day yesterday trying to get my new suspension system sorted out. It’s a prototype setup so it’s not cut and dried procedure yet. Going back on the lift this afternoon to try to get the ride height in the rear where it needs to be.

My pit crew doesn’t have a lot of experience, but they work for chicken feed.

Ya, but having any helpers is something to crow about. I am usually doing this sort of thing by myself...

New rotors (Centric), Pads (EBC Red) installed, much better after just a few hundred miles on my F56S.

Installed VIP 23mm Sway bar - not sure why I waited so long. Vast improvement.

Used my stereo installer Tony @ Allrite Mobile in Vancouver to do the sway bar - $100. Don't think he ever did a MINI sway bar before but he is neat and professional and wow is he reasonable on price. My self installation days are past.

Alignment job today. Only minor tweaks needed. Surprising since it spent a day and a half on the lift getting the suspension sorted out. Tomorrow I have to mod my wing mount and adjust the angle of attack. Monday thru Thursday next week it belongs to my detail guy. Friday to the dealer to take care of a flickering foglight, the exhaust BT module, and a malfunctioning fender trim light. Seems the closer to Dragon departure the more things need to be done. Should be the other way around.

Did my front brakes. Replaced pads an rotors. Then I was going to change my oil. But I ran into a problem child. Some one had rounded out the oil drain plug. I tried everything to bust it loose. No luck. So I went an bought a fluid extractor from harbour freight. Works pretty dam good. So then I remove to oil filter housing. The f#$% filter would not come out. I had to get a pair of pliers an wip out the filter I'm pieces to get to the bottom. I finally get the end piece to come out. Talk about the oil change from hell. An finally I install my afe filter system I bought from a salvage for 60 dollars. I did get a new filter. All I have left to do is install my rally lights. Got the switch mounted below the steering column on the left side.

Changed the oil, finally after 7 years and 85,000 miles I managed to do it without spilling a drop. A drop of oil that is, the fitting at the bottom of the coolant tank drips when the tank is pulled out of the way to get the filter out. Rotated the tires, removed, cleaned, re-greased, and reinstalled the rear sway bar bushings, checked the torque on all the rear suspension bolts, set the rear sway bar links to the middle hole to make it a bit stiffer. Will have to see if I like it. Rewarded myself with a gin & tonic.

Changed my camshaft position sensors at 50k miles. Got a code a couple of weeks ago that cleared on its own but didn't want to take any chances.

That does not sound like any fun.

When that happened to me... grrrrrr... I bought this and the drain plug spun right off.

I meant to mention that I found my steering motor fan locked up. Had to order another one.
I mounted my rally lights today. Will finish up the wiring this week.
All that left to do is sand down the paint chip an scratches I filled with paint . And compound then polish an wax the car for the dragon.

Removed and remounted the brackets on my CF wing using Loctite. Had one screw backed out and another come halfway loose last week. Readjusted angle of attack. Now just need to run it a little this week and make sure everything's still tight.

Installed coil overs and borla exhaust

Hello all. Finally installed my h&r coilovers and Borla catback.
Into my no name headers ( i got for my bday ) catless. I notice there’s a metal sound coming from under the car. I take t that’s normal since I’m not running a cat? Also installed a catted L O2 adaptor. I’ve been getting SEL light on and off. Code p2096

Coilovers rides really good. I’m thinking of dropping it more 1/2 or 1inch. Thoughts?

Also got the 17% pulley installed. Now debating on getting the ATI super damper or get a tune 🤷🏻*♂️ Car has 106k 2006 cooper s.
