What did you do to your mini today?

Last night, we bought mine a little brother. "Ruckus" is a 2008 Justa in Oxygen Blue (R56?). My 16 year old son has always kept amazing grades in school (in stark contrast to his older brother who excels in every other way except grades), so this is a reward for that anticipated continued grade success. Today, Ruckus got window tint, and I ordered him a Craven dipstick.
Thank you. I highly recommend watching some YouTube videos before doing it specially on how to do areas that are recessed. My biggest tip is to clean the car extremely good and I mean extremely well. I cleaned mine multiple times and still found certain areas that had dirt which will ruin the whole panel that your doing.
oregon's Mini maintenance day
My down to earth Mini only gets the down to earth essentials.
I ran K&N but after finding dust in my intake tract I switched to AFE and I really like them. Inspected after a few track days and I'm sold on them, now they are in both minis!

Just changed mine a few weeks ago ,leaking and it sounded funny, easiest thing I've done so far. That oil cooler/filter housing gasket was definitely a PIA.
All I did today was put on the rear mud flaps...I did the fronts 5 months ago

a walter mitty dream with mini at the track
Today we got to live out our larger than life dreams. We spend the afternoon at the track. Desire and I were the first to arrive. Great turn out with 5 R53s and 1 R50. Met two new Miniacs. A nice dry and partly sunny day in the low 70s.
Desire and I were the first to arrive at the track
enough Mini's to have an orgy ; six gen 1 and one countryman
the last run group of the day at dusk

Couple weeks ago, I was in the process of removing the front end, and the subframe in order to prepare to replace the clutch, and rear main seal. Since then, I've done the following:
-New inner, and outer balljoints
-Powerflex LCA bushings
-Powerflex Front Sway Bar bushings
-New Tie rods
I wasn't able to work on Egan last weekend due to some personal stuff. Today I got all of that done, but also discovered some more things I can replace in the process.
So I know the oil pan gasket is leaking, as well as the crankshaft position sensor o-ring, and the oil cooler gaskets (oil filter housing gasket appears to be fine for now).
Just when I thought I was done buying new parts, I'll be replacing those three items in the process as well since I have full access to them all. Tis' the quirks of owning a Mini for almost 12 years. :D
