The paint on the rear emblem on my MINI washed off

So I removed it and painted it black.

If you don't mind could you give me a little more info of your thoughts about the kits?
They make both flat and contoured kits. The wood is real wood veneer imbedded in plastic to allow flexibility, protection from the elements and the attachment of a powerful adhesive on the back side. They cannot be matched to any existing wood dash. They do carry OEM replacement kits for most makers, but not MINI. Mine was the 8 piece kit for the dash panels and door ovals. I really wasn't expecting much for $168, but I was quite impressed when I got it. However, install ain't easy. Everything has to be perfectly aligned when you attach it and you only get one try. Once that adhesive backing touches anything, that's it!

Trying to make up for the scratch on the door, I gave the Krautenküper a set of 2011 side scuttles.

Summer wheels and tires mounted and a wax. Now heading to the dealer for the Rocks the Rivals event (and to pickup a few things).

For the interior I use Lexol cleaner and protectant.

For the exterior black plastic, currently, just some fairly basic stuff - something called "black magic"

I am curious about "black wow" (different company) but don't know anything about it.

Thanks much! They make me ultra-paranoid about scouting constantly for road hazards, but are otherwise a pleasure to roll.

Just finished installing a 6' stereo audio cable behind the dash to replace the retractable Belkin cable that wasn't behind the dash. Don't ever try to use a 3' section - it don't work so good.

I changed oil and filter and installed the Fumoto Oil Valve. First oil change and my MINI thanked me by not leaking any fluids

Was time for me to purchase another bottle of "Back to Black" but instead decided to finally pull the trigger on a bottle of Black Wow thru Way Motor Works..... After using it last week I figured out how it got it's name

Great stuff ! Best ever. And a little bit goes a long way.

Today I joined the ranks of the anti-runflat crowd. Continental Extreme Contact DWS all around. It's amazing how much quieter and smoother the ride is now.

It was actually a couple days ago, but....

I test drove a Laser Blue 2011 MCS with a black roof and MSRP of $27,xxx.

It was an automatic with the paddle shifters, so it took a little getting used to but it was exactly like a newer version of my 2005!

I'm a really big fan of the laser blue, and I've been thinking of trading in my tahoe and my mcs for the one new mini with maintenance/warranty included up to 100k miles.

It seems like a good financial decision, right? I tried to build one on the mini website, but it was getting WAY expensive! Every time I tried to add one simple option, I had to add a 'package' instead...lame.

Oh! and I named the mini finally. Walking in the door it hit me: Jimi. Jimi-the-mini; or Jimini for short. :p

If it were *me*, I'd just trade the Tahoe and keep the MCS.

C ya,

all my plastic was faded with alot of old dried up wax, applied black wow once about a month and a half ago and it still looks brand new. Did the plastic on my 99 silverado too, bumpers, handles, tailgate top(all of these were so faded they looked white) and it didn't even put dent in the bottle. that 4oz bottle is going to last a long time!

Misjudged a turn, and when my right rear tire came down off the concrete curb, my "stop", the tire jack brace came completely off . Was able to retrieve it off the road, and one of the clips that holds it on had broken clean off...

Hopefully I won't have alignment issues. As soon as it happened I knew SOMETHING had broken, such a terrible noise...guess it coulda been worse...sigh.... actually hope it isn't worse, but she drove the rest of the way fine...so.....

Dropped my MCCS off @ East Bay Mini this morning to replace the hood scoop and timing chain, as well as a few other issues. The loaner they gave me is a 2011 justa R56 in hot chocolate with white roof. Looking at this one makes me miss my R55 so much more.

Well, I cleaned her pleatherette seats! My mini long haired weiner dog, MINI Cooper, ralphed as I took her for a romp on the twisties in Nisqually Delta.

I went up to Seattle MINI on a whim today to see what they might have in stock before I put in an order to catch the .9 financing that expires 2 May.

My MA pulled around in a drop dead gorgeous Laser Blue/Black S with Premium and Cold packages, 16 inch wheels and Bluetooth. She had just arrived 4 days ago and wasn't even on the online inventory. Everything I had speced out except the Xenons. I saved $1750 off MSRP with the May deal and got exactly what I wanted for my Honda Fit. They knocked off the ridiculous $495. dealer prep also.

Butch went home with me. I couldn't wipe the grin off my face cruising down I-5.
