Most Virginians don't have dedicated snow tires as they can usually get by with all seasons. I'm afraid there was too much snow for those types of tires to handle down there in this storm. I hope nobody slid into her beautiful EB Mini.

MINI's love snow!

this is a dusting of a couple inches with all season conti's

after another 5 inches, we swap-out the Blizzak WS-60's

Hope this isn't you.

So I came across an article about the snow storm along the east coast ( me living in central Pa saw 1 inch). Anyways, the main picture for the article has a woman standing next to her stranded EB MINI. Is this anyone on NAM? Here is the article.

oh no! Turning off the DSC does wonders... took a spin around the circle in front of my house today the snow varied between 4 and 8 inches got stuck in the deep snow for a second, but a quick reverse and back into 1st I was on my way again. The vehicle did much, much better than I thought it would.

Ha! the MINI looks so small compared to the SUV in the foreground!

I can actually get by with Azenis all year round here. If it snowed like that, I'd just stay home.

Snow can ruin your day, but so far I don't see any body damage, that's always encouraging. It is WINTER!

BensMini Dec 20, 2009 12:46 AM

I don't think this is one of our members, but if she is I don't envy her the time out in the weather like that. Brrrrrrrr!

Threads merged since they started with the same story and same MINI in the snow.

My Mini After The Storm

Just thought of sharing some pics of my mini after the snow storm here in New York and the rest of the east coast....

Barrettrw11 Dec 20, 2009 02:32 PM

So far my MINI has handled like a champ with the snow that we have had. Although it hasn't been anything over 4 inches but still.

jimmy_racoon Dec 20, 2009 02:42 PM

here's mine today!

There was too much snow on the Cape for the MINI period. I took the Subaru to work this morning and have to say that even snow tires would have stranded the MINI this morning as it sits too low. The tires on the Suby are all seasons and it was just fine. :)

MINI had its first day in the snow, we had nearly 2 feet fall plus the drifts, at one point only the area above the door handle and below the belt line was visible. Dug out and went for a short spin, handled better than my SUV (2WD).

My MINI during the height of the snow...can you guess which model? (If you look at my signature - You cheated!)

Ever notice how the rear wipers end up looking like a mean face?
