Barry left another message stating that he found out that the book was sent to the wrong person at the same address as me, a family member who already has an account with Mini Mania. Mini Mania addressed the book to this family member and not me.

As a result I never got the book and this other family member thought incorrectly that it was something that she ordered for me for Xmas, she planned to save it for me for my birthday.


This is certainly not Barry's fault. Mini Mania goofed a bit by not addressing it to me and this family member goofed by not knowing what she had already ordered. Now I look like an **** but I had no way of knowing what sort of mellow drama played out here.


I'm writing this while at work because my PC has issues with malware. Got to go.


Ok so I ordered a subscription to this magazine this past December because of two reasons. A). Its the only MINI magazine around and B). it comes with a free book "Motoring".

Well I finally got my Jan-Feb issue and I like it a lot however what the heck happened to my free book "Motoring"? I've emailed the publisher _many_ times asking about this and I keep getting the message back about that he will email the publisher about this. Now I've even stopped getting those emails back. I feel like a sucker, a mark even!

Did anyone sign up for this mag during this promotion? Did anyone get this book?

This thread has become a moot point. MC2 Barry just phoned me after learning about this thread to explain that he would send another copy of the book. He stated that the first copy was sent over a month ago and that it must have gotten lost in the mail.

All right, nice one! I was quite looking foward to reading another MINI book.

I have found Barry & MC2 Magazine to be responsive and take care of any problem when they know of. The best way to get satisfaction is to call Barry directly 360-698-7926 and let him know your problem. I am sure he will take care of things.

If after trying that you don't get any satisfation, then you might be warranted in posting here. That goes for all the MINI vendors. If you have a complaint, call them first.

From the post above it is clear that once Barry became aware of the problem, he took the initative to call and get it resolved.

 

My book came before the magazine did.
Was shipped direct from Mini-Mania.

Generally I do not respond to folks who feel they can pontificate and admonish a member's posting, especially when one does not have any knowledge of the facts.
So, I will post when I wish, about what I wish, and will not seek your approval. Frankly, you sound like a vendor that has been admonished in the past and, maybe rightfully so or then again maybe not. So, I suggest you not dictate to whom or what a member can post about. Just because the Speaker is from the Left Coast does give you the power to carry a gavel.
Now, for the facts-extended subscription and heard nothing. Email to Barry-No book since early December. No further response since first week of January.
Next time you have a cogent thought keep it to yourself.
