83 year old woman buys a mini. Isn't that great!!! Hope she has a blast...

That is a great story. I'm sure all of the MINI owners in the area will enjoy having her and her family at events. We have a few "older" owners in the Midwest too, but I'm not sure any of them have hit 80 yet. I know one couple are 70-ish.

What a way to "go out"! That's awesome.

Someone in that area should track her down and do an interview for the Alliance Magazine.

The car will probably give her a heart attack that car is so exciting.
I hope I die in my Mini. Hopefully doing something crazy in my old age. Oooo the nurburgring would be a good place.

ahha

Dam it! My mother used to own a 66 Mini back in England and she was thinking of buying another as she enjoys mine so much, she's 73 now I was hoping she'd be the oldest. Good for her though!

But she does drive a nice 06 Mazda3 GT white

And my wife thought we were the oldest buying a Mini. Makes me feel young again at 54.

Was just thinking maybe the MODS or Admin of NAM could set a NAM ID aside for her.

Maybe; GrannyMINI or NeverTooOld ?

Reminds me of the elderly gentlemen that parks his Dark Silver R53 S in the handicap spot at my work occasionally. It always puts a smile on my face. I can only hope I suffer a similar fate.

Great idea. but I think her ID should be what she stated - "Last Hurrah"

Yes, I've run into several senior MINI enthusiasts.....good stuff and only proves this car appeals to all kinds of people.
