I can't believe I never posted in this thread. I ordered 11/23/09 and 3 weeks later to the day I was driving it out of the showroom! This was my first glimpse:

All of 6kms on it, and now I need to upload a current pic as it goes in for the 25,000km oil change in about a week!

Here's one of my most recent pics...when Germany was in the quarter finals for World Cup:

It's a multipurpose trip. I was there for Oktoberfest 2007 - enjoyed it so much that I want to go again this time around. The 200th should be a blast! I'll also be scoping out different areas in Germany, as I wanted work abroad (maybe on a US base?). My s.o. is from Switzerland, so I'm also going to head over there again to check out more of her home country.

I've got a good friend working at a US Army base in the Netherlands - I'm going to try to visit him and his family while I'm at it too.

Do WC50 owners qualify? There is Midnight black under that beautiful Connaught Green.

I can't decide..to remove the stripes or not? I love the look of the clean midnight black with the jcw kit and black wheels but I'm concerned about faded paint. I've only had the car a month but it has spent 6 or 7 days sitting in the sun during that time.

funny - I'm trying to decide whether to put teal blue stripes on mine.

Take them off! Don't worry about faded paint, it's inevitable. I don't really care for the factory stripes. They come in the Sport package, but I told them not to put them on my car. I have a friend that has a vinyl decal business so I'm in the process of finishing up my custom stripes. I need to order some more pieces to finish the job and I'll post pics.

Well in a round about way I solved the stripe problem but with a different car

I couldn't stand it anymore..just missed my S too much. So here is the new arrival...sans stripes
