Rear-ended by a hit & run driver! SF Bay Area body shop?

Ugh! On Tuesday I was driving along, minding my own business, when I stopped on a busy street (was coming up to a light anyway) to allow a person to come out of their driveway (they were already halfway out). When BAM! A woman rear-ended me! Then worst of all, she backed up, turned around, and took off! I got most of her license plate number and have filed a police report. Now it's just a matter of tracking down the right person/car and praying that she has insurance.

But I do need a body shop. Fortunately, at least cosmetically, the back bumper doesn't look that bad. Except that poor Reg is not even 4 months old! But it's obvious that the whole bumper will have to be replaced, as will the rear fog light and who knows what else. Fortunately I am not hurt, though I was (and am) mighty pissed off!

I'd prefer to take my car to a body shop in San Francisco or South San Francisco, just for convenience's sake. What can people recommend? My insurance, of course, recommended one close to my house, but Reg is not going to go to just any old body shop!

The body shop that does work for SF MINI does excellent work. If memory serves me right, the name is German Motors Collision Center.

Someone put a large door ding on my driver's door shortly after I bought my car. They would have done PDR if not for the paint cracking on it. I am extremely picky about paint/body work, and I could not tell that the car had ever been repaired.

I was a bit reserved about spending the premium for this body shop, but it was definitely worth every penny. My car may even get repainted there when I finally move out of Alaska.

I also had great work done with German Motors Collision Center in SF. The work was flawless and the paint excellent! Granted mine was just the front bumper and the AC condenser, but the paint was a perfect match! They are one of the few Certified Mini body shops around.
