Nothing is more anoying to our band as when people jump on our wagon

Perhaps some good competition will drive MINI to do even better things in the future.

While the Audi is slower than the MINI, I must say that Audi has always made beautiful cars.

Who knows, maybe all those non-waving MINI drivers will buy these instead and we can take back our clubhouse.

Looks interesting so far.

More sporty compacts is a good thing. So far the R32 and Volvo C30 are about the closest competition, maybe a Mazdaspeed 3.

Red Dragoon Sep 17, 2008 05:24 AM

That Audi has a nice look about it, but it is no MINI.

Froglips Sep 17, 2008 05:33 AM

NOTHING will compare to a MINI though!

kgdblu Sep 17, 2008 08:20 AM

that Audi looks angry...maybe cuz it's not a MINI?

ebh Sep 17, 2008 12:30 PM

love that it will be a plug-in hybrid like the volt. only using an electric motor for short city trips would be amazing.

bluemeanie357 Sep 17, 2008 03:15 PM

I wonder if Mini will do the plug-in hybrid thing as an option on the MC. The D model, if ever brought to the US, supposedly gets 74mpg; but BMW charges more for diesel engines, offsetting any savings (the new low-sulfur diesel costs more than hi-test in the U.S. now, too).
Apparently an all-electric Mini has been spotted, but the flexibility of a plug-in is a no-brainer.
Personally I bought an S and don't want an electric unless I can turn it off. But regen braking would be nice- Euro BMWs have that already too.
Say what you want about Audi (cough, reliability) but I highly respect that every model seems to get an S version, an RS version, and a convertible model.

Likely. And the MINI has a grin on it's face. Could it be a smug grin?

It is ...and slow too. I like the front, but am not too keen on the back.

SirParlan Sep 17, 2008 09:20 PM

One word: Eww.

Nubwagon Sep 18, 2008 09:20 AM

Are there hot chicks on this vehicle you speak of? Maybe they can jump on the Nubwagon instead

To me, the grille is too large. I think it looks way oversized for the car. MINIs are still WAY better!

scottylundgren Sep 19, 2008 07:25 AM

i like it. It looks a little meaner than the mini
