If This Story Doesn't Break Your Heart...

...Nothing Will!

I urge everyone to check out this site:

http://www.ryansminiadventure.com/HOME.html

I first saw it posted in the die cast collectible section, but thought it deserved a wider audience. The OP only posted once, but I hope that he returns. I'm sure he's bound to receive an outpouring of sympathy from NAM users everywhere, and he can certainly use the encouragement!

One of the most touching tributes I have ever seen. I feel so saddened by the tragic loss of such a special child and so encouraged by the courage of Ryans's parents. GODS speed to them.

Nothing in the world is more sad than the loss of a sweet, innocent child's life. Nothing.

No details, but take my word for it that I know of what I speak.

I never thought I would visit this site and shed a tear...

Thanks for posting the link about that special little girl.

So people are taking photos of sevral different toy MINIs, or is that the same MINI toy that was passed along & taken abroad?

I believe it is one of 103 MINI toys being shared. The "Contribute" tab on the home page explains in greater detail:

Yeah, I was just amazed by this site. Suddenly, all my "problems" didn't seem so big any more. Times like this when you really take stock in your life and stop to treasure the people around you! Thanks for visiting the site. I think everyone feels a little differently once they take the time to read about Ryan. What a sweet child and a wonderful story of parental love. It's very humbling to say the least.

That is truly amazing and touching. Strange how such a simple little thing can become such a powerful symbol.
I hope someone who will be at AMVIV or MOTD next year (or both) can become a contributor and get a picture of one of her MINIs with all the other MINIs.

AvidMINI Aug 31, 2008 10:06 PM

That's an excellent idea.

I'm hoping Ryan's dad posts photos of his "actual size" MINI once he takes delivery. It would be especially cool if a NAM member were there to document the process.

With every death of a child, a little of our future is robbed. Nothing more tragic.

Is he getting one? I didn't see that on the site. That would be very nice, particularly if he could get someone to do custom graphics to match the smaller versions.

mimini1 Sep 2, 2008 06:04 AM

Ryan's parents have ordered a Chili Red MINI.

AvidMINI Sep 2, 2008 06:23 AM

Yeah, my bad. Here's where he first posted that he's getting one:
