Jose Cuervo MINI's

I was out in about in Santa Monica last night and saw a couple of these little guys running around. Too cool! They even had "salt" on the roof!

Would you ever do this to your MINI?

Excuse the crappy iPhone 3G pic.

Sad thing to do to a MINI, but it is great that they still select MINIs because of the attention they attract.

CR&PW&JB Aug 4, 2008 09:32 AM

Maybe the wrong kind of attention. Quite possibly perpetuating the "Clown Car" perception.

Yeah, some of those novelty, advertising MINIs are pretty cool, but this one... not so much.

How about the Red Bull ones?

Could be a new modding trend.

You have got to be kidding...
Everytime I see a Red Bull MINI I'm drawn to it like a kid to an Ice Cream truck.
I don't know why  I just am... Maybe I'm addicted to Red Bull or maybe its the pretty girls handing them out.

Shouldn't there be something wrong with advertising alcohol on an automobile?

DanF Aug 4, 2008 04:16 PM

Red Bull is not an alcoholic beverage.

Fully aware that Red Bull is not an alcoholic beverage. I drink a sugar free Red Bull almost every morning.

As per the title of this thread and the attached pictures, I was referring to Jose Cuervo, which is an alcoholic beverage.

How do they open the hood on that hot dog MINI?

glnr13 Aug 4, 2008 06:41 PM

the cars are actually promoting Grand Marnier, not Jose Cuervo.

and what's wrong with advertising alcohol on cars? race cars have been doing it for years.

Warped1966 Aug 4, 2008 07:01 PM

I meant to ask that at the GWR500 but totally forgot. I think that the hotdog part of the windshield comes off to allow the hood to open though.

I had the pleasure of speaking with the two lovely young Wienermobile ladies (gosh, that sounds wrong  ) who explained that the bonnet actually has to be unbolted and slid forward to access the engine compartment. The windshield and superstructure (I guess that means the bun) remain fixed in place for this operation. The 7 (count them, seven) Wienermobiles have their oil levels checked monthly at an unspecified oil change place. It's considered to be quite a pain in the 'buns' (sorry, couldn't resist  )

Think about all the liquor and beer billboards along the freeways. Not to mention the drive through liquor barns, often "manned" by bikini-clad employees. Makes ya go hmm.
