I guess they didn't take the Smart Car into account. There's a year wait list on those buggers.

offers standard amenities like rear parking sensors
Um... is PDC standard on the 2009s, because I know I'm dishing out 500$ for mine. Doncha wish people would actually post factual information in these articles?

People love making lists!!!!

Interesting that they lumped all three MINI models together. I have a hard time believing that there is a eight day supply of Clubmen in-country.

I'm not really sure what an "eight day supply" means. Does it mean that there are enough non-special-order, unsold cars to satisfy eight days' worth of walk-in sales demand? Or does it mean that there's an average of eight days supply, including pre-orders awaiting delivery?
I guess my basic question is, are cars already spoken for included?

Technically, we're tied for #2...

I'm surprised that the Fit and Civic are so close. The dealers I've been by have tons of Civics and no Fits. Fit sales were up 100% last month compared to the same time a year ago.

It's slow but not that efficient, small but handles poorly. It's not that practical and not that cheap.

Hmm, well I went to 3 mini dealers around here ranging 100 miles away and they were all SOLD OUT of Minis and I had to special order one. I don't think they did their math right.

Yes, I've driven them, both here and in Germany. I wouldn't buy one. But I also wouldn't refer to it as glorified junk.

I'm surprised about the Prius. A friend went to buy one and was told there was a 4 month wait by three different dealers.

Dean.

Hmm .. must be area-dependent. There are about half a dozen Smarts sitting in the lot of one of the dealers here in stl.

Car sales vary a lot by region, so one might have a dozen smart cars on the lot while another has none. I know Otto's MINI when I was down there a couple weeks ago didn't even have any MINI's for the showroom floor. I believe they had a whopping 2 MINI's total for test drives.

I like how the actual article didn't mention MINI's in it at all.
