Hard Candy (2006)
I don't know if this has been posted on here before (I tried searching, but it didn't bring me anything particularly fruitful), but I was watching Hard Candy last night - it's a movie about a pedophile thinking he's going to get a little 14-year old girl as his new little toy, and it turns out that the victim's now the attacker, etc. If any of you've seen Juno, the main girl (Ellen Page, AKA Juno) is the little 14-year old girl in the movie.
But not the point - a few minutes in though, they walk out of the coffee shop to his car...and it's a MINI!!! It's in 2006, so this is a first gen MINI, but I can't place the color... It looks like a gun-metalish color....really pretty. Anyone help ID?

Either dark silver or Royal Grey. RG was only available on 2006 cars. I had one, it was kind of had a greenish tint to the grey so that may well be what's in the movie. I saw it but don't recall what color the car was.
Good thing the MINI was in there....perhaps the only bright spot??
Actually, do you think they'd dare to accurately portray a real MINI owner in a film? I'm thinking angst over parking spots, outrageous giggling when motoring, and a quick detailing now and again.
Closest thing I ever saw to this was Stella in TIJ giggling as she drove her MCS about. Now that was the real thing....and we knew it!!!

Yeah, the fact that he didn't go on and on about his car, and spend extra time looking for the "right" parking space, etc. was really unrealistic. And he didn't have a bunch of MINI swag and spare parts in his place. Hadn't even swapped out the runflats.

Anybody remember the short film someone here did (very nicely I might add) with the MINI cabrio and "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone" as the soundtrack?? Now that was a realistic portrayal!!!
