Let's see them ENGINE BAYS!

Title says it all. Lets see what your engine is looking like now-a-days, show off your mods. I'm on the way to clean my filthy engine now

Dr.Steve (Custom Mini Shop) will be doing some CF work to replace the base of the stock air filter box & rewire the NO2, but here's what it looks like in the meantime. The new Forge tanks look awesome, IMHO.

MINI_Bee, that's a great looking Cooper engine bay. Nice work.

where did you guys get those braces on the two sides of the engine? (the red beams in PGT's case, and the black ones in mini_bee)

mine:

*note* the spark plug wires are no longer blue, they are now red, and that big Alta V2 is leaving the car soon

OEM braces from MINI for the Cabrio. Mid '05+ production cars have the nuts already welded on. Early cars...well, you might be able to drill and tap the holes or use nutserts

Correct. On my 2006 Cooper Cabrio those braces are stock. At some point I'd like to take them off and paint them a different color.

Hey thanks! That photo isn't the best angle for showing off all the billet pieces, the oogah horn and other stuff under there. I'll try to post an update from a better angle.

Last years picture but it will do. Only a few things different now.

Nitrominis, what are the solenoids on top of your ECU cover? It looks like your running both NO2 & methanol from the two horn taps. You can seriously eat out of your engine compartment.

You don’t miss much.
Living by the ocean I need to keep it clean because of the salt in the air.

The Venom NOS solenoid is kinda under the area close to the in “A” in Alta. I ran 2 different size NOS nozzles to make a quick change rather then changing out the whole nozzle. I now use it as my secondary NOS system. I run a home brew primary NOS set up that is progressive up to a pre set boost and that is when the Venom kicks in. This way I can hit the juice in all gears at any RPM.
My water/meth is a direct port system under the I/C in the intake manifold. The nozzles are located on the I/C side of the intake manifold in the head port runner.
The solenoids on my ECU cover are to my LP system. One solenoid is usually open all the time. The other is operated by my Custom Performance devise Control Center.
I just listed on the “MAD MODDER” thread.

By the way very nice MINI. I really like your graphics on the side.

Love the pics!!!

Okay, cartar452 I want the horn situation!!! Heck, folks around here never batted an eye about pulling in front:eek2: of my lifted full size Bronco. Now they sure don't:no: care about my little Mini. If they are going to try it I think I'd enjoy blowning their ears out.

As for all the horse power mods. Dollar for dollar we get more bang  modding the Hubby's 2007 Shelby GT500  than the Mini.

PGT Jun 8, 2008 08:31 AM
