Frustrated with my dealer - can't get in touch to learn delivery date.

I know my new Cooper S is off the boat, and I believe in Greenville at the VDC.

I live 150 miles from my dealer, and I'm just trying to find out when I can come and hand them 30 grand.

An e-mail to the MA on Friday night, a voice mail on Saturday morning, and finally a voice mail to the sales manager late Saturday afternoon, have all gone unanswered.

I know Sat is a busy day, but don't you think someone should have been able to return my call?

Call the MINI hot line #, the one I actually ordered, they tracked it better than the dealer did and are open 24/7. Give your dealer a Happy Memorial Day, maybe he is a VET or has family members who were and are not around, there is much more than MINIs, but maybe not for you right now!

Easy buddy - we've been through it also. Your MA really wants you to get it too - he won't get PAID on your order until you take delivery. It takes a little longer than seems reasonable and more than we'd like but "it is what it is".

From the time that your ship hits port, at LEAST a full week needs to pass before you might possibly take delivery. For most people, it's 8-10 days after your ship comes in, sometimes a little longer. Apparently, a real bottleneck is the availability of trucks to bring your car from the port to the VDC, and then - to the dealer. In your case, the VDC is a huge facility a few miles from the dealer in Greenville. The wait is almost over ... we promise! If you ordered a bunch of stuff that gets installed in port or the VDC then it can take longer too.
