Couldn't find it on google maps, but I dare say the section of road in Custer State Park in South Dakota where the pigtail bridges might be a nominee.

Ok, so it's on google earth, but it works right?

This is just one small area of Japan's many mountain roads.

Every yellow line is a road btw.

Japan's mountain roads are unfrigginbelievable

Owned a motorcycle in Tokyo a couple of years and 40 mins West of the city (Hajioji & Okutuma ?spell?) there were superbly maintained roads that had extra textured surfaces (like sand paper), and mirrors showing the opposing traffic, on the hairier/blinder corners. Also the double yellow widened, sometimes with pylons, on these corners. Best yet was that you never saw a cop and any slower traffic you came up on would simply pull over at the first opportunity!

Give me a constant pace twisty like Deals Gap any day. Perhaps it's just me, but these famous European mountain switchbacks look like nothing more than a bunch of straight-aways connected by 1st gear U-turns. And I doubt anyone would dare push it because an error would result in certain death :eek2:.

Sure, great sightseeing road.... but NOT a fun drive  (IMHO).

That's where Top Gear went and tested the Auston Martin Vanquish 8 Race car, the Lamborghini Gallardo, and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

It's episode 10x1 I believe...they went on a search for the "World's Best Road."
