Where's Your MINI as Ringtone?
 

Okay - file this under MINIOCD, but I really like the little song when I track my MINI from the Mini Owners Lounge website. I'd like it even better as a ring tone ~ just one more reminder of my MINItobe...

any ideas how to snag this music? Or - do you think anyone at Mini would be willing to share it out for us?

I'm sure it is possible, but the most reasonable way to do it would probably involve buying a program that can snag the sound file, convert it, is connected to a website to send it to your phone, etc. So basically, yes, if you're willing to pay $30 for a ringtone! :eek2:

Well, this is kind of like saying, "Of course you can fly to Jupiter. All you have to do is build a rocket, figure out how to warp time or live to 3,248,517, develop fuel to return and hope everything is fine when you return." At least, to me it is.

It allows you to capture any audio played back on your computer. However, please make sure you have permission to do so!

I tried to download one of the options from MINI USA....the MINI horn...for my ringtone and it turns out they are only available to International customers!!! What's up with that? I asked why it was on our MINI USA site then. :nod: That music would be cool but I think it might bring back all those anxious feelings when we were tracking...... :lol:

Hmm not sure. Thought you were just asking for the audio file.

Can your phone use MP3's as ringtones.

Can you hook your phone up to your PC?

If neither of those, than I am not sure.

If you have a Creative Labs sound car they come with software to record and create MP3s from any source, including "what you hear".

Go to smashthetones.com --> 'Get Started', and follow directions. Pretty simple, and free too! :thumbsup:
