It's opposite day (nice SUVs, jerk MINIs)

I drove all over creation this morning (thank you Google maps! I would be getting home at 8pm without you!)

For some reason I encountered jerk MINIs everywhere, weaving in and out of traffic, cutting off old ladies, blowing red lights, etc.
Even weirder is the SUVs seemed so courteous today. More than once I got confused at a 4-way stop because they were obeying the right of way, etc.

Now I know not all MINI/SUV drivers are the same, but it felt truly bizarre the degree that it was backwards today!

Did you pass through that spiraling tunnel??

Around here, most MINI drivers I see are oblivious. So are the SUV drivers, for that matter.

Last time I was in Beantown, it seemed like most everyone drove that way...

Was The Italian Job playing on a local cable channel last night?

Oh, well that goes without saying, that's the sport of it. But I'm talking about above and beyond the normal :)

I agree with the Beantown comment. One time on vacation, I cut off a van and then did a quick right in front of it. I mumbled "sorry about that" and kept going. My brother, who was with me, said "that's all right; you have Massachusetts plates; you're supposed to drive that way."

People in MA are allowed to own SUV's?

rooandren Aug 1, 2007 03:22 PM

Only BMW/MB. The soccer moms lobby won't allow those to be banned!
