any TSD rally drivers?
I've done TSD a handful of times and enjoyed it a lot. Out here in L.A. we have something called the First Friday Nighter which is a monthly TSD rally held on the first Friday of each month. It's been that way for decades and is very well run. Just driving one of those certainly makes you appreciate all the effort the rallymaster went to for course layout and such.

Madam treasurer and I ran the Ohio Milk Run TSD rally this past Saturday, albeit not in our MINI but in our A4.
Good test of the strength of our marriage. Done good, won Novice class by a mile and did not murder each other.

I've been thinking about it and am definitely interested, but would like to know who here I can get more information from. Anyone?

www.SCCA.org is a good place to start. go to road rally........find the region nearest you. With any luck it will have a strong rally program. Make sure you go for STRAIGHTFORWARD TSD rallies...the gimmick ones or the route ones are a PITA.
There are also a whole mess of "commercial rallies" catering to rich folks with fancy cars......dunno where you would start though...I gave up after seeing entry fees in the THOUSANDS of dollars.....

Funny, I always like the gimmick rallies best. Looking for a sticker on a road sign somewhere between mile 5 and mile 5.2 on rte. xxx is always fun. TSD is a lot of work, and for someone like me who gets car sick reading while driving, navigation is a real chore.
^^^^^! I'm going to bring this to the top again!
I've done quite a few (not in my MCS), love 'em, and can't wait to get back to an area where there are some (none down here in the hinterlands of southern Oregon).
Anybody fitted there Mini with a rally computer? I'm working on designing one and want some feedback on features/functions that people might want. I've been in contact with some other rally folks, and gotten some good responses, but I'm always looking for more ideas.

i have done a number of these rallies. i even have some trophies. there were 3 classes; seat of the panrets s class C, non integrated computers, and A class with computers and such hooked into your speedometer. I ran the middle class using a laptop and a Visual Basic program that interprets the route instructions and simulates what the odometer should be reading...ie...keep the car odo matched to the computer and you will be on time. Was pretty succesful with it.
