Track Tire Pressures
#1
Perhaps you real racers can help me. What would be good cold pressures to start with on the track. I'd really like 2 answers, one for ambient temp of 80 degrees and one with ambient temp of 50 degrees.
My car has a rear bar, springs, shocks (soft front, stiff rear), 16" V700's, 2 degrees neg camber front, 3 degrees rear, 1/8" toe out front, 0 rear.
A guy I know ran his Mustang with Hoosier slicks in the low 20's at Lime Rock a couple of weeks ago. The temp was in the mid 40's.
My car was very loose until I got down into the low 30's. Not a good day. Another Mini was running the about same setup in the 40's except that his coilovers are not adjustable.
I assume that I should bleed down to about the same pressures as the tires or the track heats up?
TIA
